The NGO Basmeh & Zeitooneh offers Syrian Refuges in Beirut some kind of perspective: Women can work in the embroidery workshop for traditional Syrian handcrafts and earn a living for their families.
Lanna Idriss, a German Banker from Frankfurt, set up the company Gyalpa popup:yes to sell the beautiful products in Germany. The entire profit goes directly to the producers.
In November 2014 Lanna Idriss went to Beirut to meet up with organizers and producers and to discuss patterns and fabrics.
